LEA presents its 2024 program of workshops and talks, made up of four activities open to the public and spread over four Saturday mornings.
BIO-CODE. THE SOUND OF THE PLANTS
On Saturday, October 26 at 10:30, we begin our program with a theoretical-practical workshop around the creation of experimental music from the responses of plants to different reactions. We will enter into the fascinating world of plant perception, finding out how they communicate, make decisions and exchange information. At the same time, we will work with different capture devices that will process all the information collected through open source interfaces and free software to convert it into generative sounds.

The workshop will be taught by Micaela Trombini, biosound artist and educator. Specialized in livecoding and experimental algorithmic noise with extensive experience in conducting workshops around the world.
PHOTO TRANSFER
On Saturday, November 2 at 10:30, we launch ourselves into the world of transfer, learning its techniques and history, and converting all types of materials, such as concrete or wood, into durable photographic supports. This 4-hour theoretical-practical workshop will provide its attendees with all the necessary materials to enter the world of photographic transfer.

The workshop will be taught by Carola Etche, a visual artist with twenty years of training in photography, film and performance. Receiving several national and international scholarships to develop his projects as well as awards at international festivals with her video performance and video dances.
MOOD BALANCE
On Saturday, November 9 at 11:30, we propose a meeting to analyze how we manage our expectations and how much energy we invest in harmful ideas and objectives. From a physiological perspective we will see the ways in which our emotions manifest themselves in situations of anxiety or stress to learn to manage them in a realistic, practical and light way.

The workshop will be taught by Muskilda Villanueva, a registered health psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of stress and expectations management, especially in accompanying artists and cultural agents. Master in Positive Psychology (Berkeley, USA), Psychosomatic Medicine (Alcalá University) and Specializations in dissociations and Post-traumatic Stress.
THE VANGUARDS SPEAK
On Saturday, November 16 at 10:30, we will end our program with a conference about the link between visual arts and literature in the era of the vanguards, a historical moment in which art reveals itself against its time and its prevailing gaze, all under the enormous influence of the writings and philosophers.

The workshop will be taught by Maite Fernández Madrid, Doctor in Art History from the UCM. Teacher, writer specialized in historical-artistic dissemination and coordinator of cultural programs at the Ministry of Cultura y Deporte.
