As a result of the collaboration between the
MAC Florencio de la Fuente Museum and LEA, we present
Interfases, the third exhibition in a cycle focused on territory. On this occasion, we revisit Marc Augé's concept of the "non-place" to go beyond its boundaries and focus on the limit that divides two places, reflecting on the very essence of the dividing line and whether habitability can be conceived within it. For this exhibition, eleven artists, in LEA stay and residency, analyze interfaces* from very different perspectives, encompassing physical, abstract, and sensory approaches. Their reflections include contrasts such as: between the useful and the useless, between the organic and the synthetic, between what is seen and what remains hidden, between material and ruin, or between time and memory.
*An interface is the state of physical and functional connection between two units, whether as a simple confluence or facilitating such a union.
