Suite* is a collaboration between La Caja and LEA, two spaces committed to contemporary creation that come together to promote groundbreaking site-specific projects. These projects are carried out by selected LEA artists and exhibited in a very unique space within La Caja, located on Fernando VI Street.
The artistic research of Enzo Calò focuses on exploring the characteristics of places, the traces accumulated by peoples over time, and their relationships. The artist creates ephemeral sculptures that form accessible habitats for humans, while also establishing a connection with the surrounding space. The structures are removable and itinerant, ready to foster continuous interaction between different places. A small room of almost 2 m² with two entrances—what might it have been? What changes has it undergone to become what it is now? Is it an incomplete place? The site-specific work created, from its process of realization (first sculptural, then architectural, and finally pictorial), aims to be a process-based record that is completed with light. The space transforms into a cathedral, a portal, a parallel place that can be visited and contemplated—an extension in space and time linked to light and matter.
